WHAT'S NEW?
CONTINUING EDUCATION
During the last weekend in August, Dr. Berryman and three of our veterinary technicians attended the Central Veterinary Conference in Kansas City. All of our professional employees work diligently to maintain their licenses through continuing education. This allows us to offer the newest, most innovative services and products for your pet.
DNA TESTING
By means of a simple blood test we can now determine the pedigree of your pet. The importance of knowing your pet's breed makeup can help in determining which diseases or conditions may present themselves in the future. Knowing if "Sparky" is 25% Bulldog, 25% Wirehair Terrier, and 50% Golden Retriever could go a long way in answering questions about his personality and questionable family tree.
STEM CELL TREATMENT FOR ARTHRITIS
Dr. S.J. Johnson became certified to do stem cell treatments for arthritis at a continuing education veterinary conference in Seattle this summer.
COMING ATTRACTIONS ON FILM!!
Harvey Oaks Animal Hospital and Animal Eye Clinic is making the progressive switch to digital radiography. We will soon be able to e-mail radiographs (x-rays) to referring veterinarians and clients to assist in explaining conditions of specific pets. This will allow us to have a more efficient hospital with fewer storage problems and higher quality radiographs to improve diagnosis and treatment.
